What we collect
Your account details; the contributions you make; the IP address and browser identifier recorded when you accept these terms or submit a price; and, only if you allow it, an approximate location used to find nearby places.
Why
To operate the register (contract), to detect fraud and abuse (legitimate interest), and to keep evidence that the contributor licence was granted (legal claims). Marketing email and precise location are consent-based and can be withdrawn at any time.
Contributions after account deletion
Your contributions stay published after your account is deleted, in anonymised form. They are detached from your identity and become anonymous facts.
We do this because the register is a historical record: removing past prices would silently rewrite history for everyone relying on it. Records proving you accepted these terms are kept in pseudonymised form for the defence of legal claims.
If a photograph you uploaded contains personal data, tell us and we will remove the image itself.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion of your personal data, or a copy of your contributions. Write to privacy@pricewatch.io.
Who else sees it
Our hosting and email providers, and our error-monitoring provider. We do not sell personal data. Aggregated price statistics contain no personal data and may be published or licensed.
