Your content

You keep ownership of everything you submit to pricewatch: price reports, photographs, product information, descriptions and comments ("Your Content").

By submitting Your Content you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid, transferable and sublicensable licence to use, host, store, cache, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, create derivative works from, publish, publicly display, publicly perform and distribute Your Content, in whole or in part, in any media and by any technology now known or developed in the future.

This licence is granted for any purpose connected with operating, providing, developing, improving, analysing and promoting pricewatch, and expressly includes: producing aggregated and derived statistics, price indices and analyses; providing data to third parties through our API or commercial data products; and training, evaluating and improving machine learning and artificial intelligence models.

This licence continues after you stop using pricewatch and after your account is closed or deleted, for content you submitted while the licence was in force.

What you promise

You confirm that Your Content is yours to submit, that you have all rights necessary to grant the licence above, that it does not infringe anyone else's rights, and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge. You are responsible for Your Content.

Factual data

Prices, dates, quantities, locations and similar factual information are facts and are not protected by copyright. Our compilation of that information into the pricewatch database is protected as a database in its own right, and those database rights belong to us.

Attribution

We may display your username alongside your contributions. We are not obliged to attribute you in aggregated data, statistics or derived products.

Removal

We may remove or amend any content at any time, particularly where it appears inaccurate, fraudulent, unlawful or in breach of these terms. Removing content does not end the licence granted above.

Every published version stays addressable, because acceptance records point at one. Nothing here is edited in place.
